How to Create a Portfolio Career
A portfolio career isn't simply leaving a corporate job and going into one new thing. You could actually be doing several things to create your next chapter in life.
Whether you have a tenured position or not, try to tap into that entrepreneurial mindset. What value can you bring to the table? How can you leverage your existing knowledge that other people are willing to pay for?
Figure out where you might take your skills, and apply them in a similar fashion or where you might be a little bit more successful.

Be careful with having a "sideways" energy, where you're focusing sideways on a lot of things and not moving forward on the one that you really want to move forward.
Things You Need to Focus On
What you may think is so easy to do can sometimes result in you undervaluing that exact thing.
It's important to understand what you're good at in terms of what you want to pursue. It doesn't mean you don't pursue things that you're not good at. The point is, don't devalue those things because there could be something there that you might be able to do more of, or maybe even earn some money from.
Nowadays, it has become easier and more acceptable for people to have this so-called portfolio career. So don’t be afraid to leverage the skills and knowledge you have and shift into the direction that sparks your joy and passion!
